In Memory of
Joe Bernotsky
July 26, 1942 - April 28, 2022

Joe Bernotsky was the facilitator and "face" of the Solanco Family Life Network.  It was his passion, and it brought him great joy to connect with others.  His smile was contagious and he just lit up whenever he had the chance to share how Jesus is working through the Network.

The family has requested donations to the following organizations, which are part of the Solanco Family Life Network.

  • Black Rock Retreat (Christian camp & retreat center)

  • New Hope Community Life Ministry (counseling)

  • Quarryville Library

  • Safe Families/ Bethany Christian Services

  • Solanco Neighborhood Ministries (Solanco Food Bank & social services)

  • Solanco Strong/ Solanco Education Foundation

  • Solid Rock (youth ministry)

OUR MISSION

To empower families to connect with caring community partners that meet the needs of the whole family, in all areas of life, fostering a thriving community.

Our mission from the start was simple: we wanted to help families in Solanco.  Working together was the best way to make that happen.

ABOUT US

Beginning under the banner, "Community Connectors" a group of concerned community leaders came around the table to answer a single question; "What can we do to help families?"

The answer became a partnership between schools, social services, churches and community organizations at a level Solanco had not seen.  The Solanco Family Life Network formed in the Fall of 2015.

With a generous grant from the United Way Lancaster, the SFLN launched its first family assistance kiosk in the Quarryville Library in June 2016 as a pilot program. The kiosk allows Solanco residents to connect families in need with SFLN members.

CARING

HELPERS

We offer hope

Sometimes when it rains, it pours.  Struggling in one area of life can often lead to struggles in other areas.  When you feel overwhelmed, you can lose hope.

The good news?  There is help and hope in Solanco.

SFLN is a group of helper organizations that are working together to keep your family 'out of the rains' of life and give you hope for a brighter tomorrow.  How does it work?

Contact any member of SFLN listed in our directory and the others will begin to work on your behalf as needed.
